I long to please
I long to hold
you in my arms

My life is full
of empty things
just passing the time

Staying busy
keeps me deaf
when I’m alone
my heart screams for you

I feel so pathetic
so lost in my life
lost in my love of you

Some day I will be
able to move on
that much I know is true

I will grow and rejoice
in the life that I have
for my life is so much richer
for having been in love with you

Try Though I May

I have travelled and seen
the bountiful wildlife of summer
the changing leaves of fall
the glistening snows of winter
and the rebirth that is spring

They all pale by comparison
to the awe inspiring you

You have shared more than you know
of who you really are
glimpses of the inner most you
your true and caring soul
with a love that can be so strong
and a faith so enduring

How I wish you could see
a wonderful creation of God
so awe inspiring to me

Who will it be
Who will come to mind

Sharing a life

My heart beats strong

My wish for you
I desire for you to see

There is something I lack
